The journalists ranked the top five hockey players who received points from five to one, respectively. Ovechkin scored 74 points in the voting (12 people put him in first place in the ranking). In addition to Ovechkin, the Canadian forward of “Florida” Jonathan Huberdo (43 points) and his compatriot Connor McDavid (“Edmonton”, 42) got into the top three contenders.
