MOSCOW, Jan 28 Russian biathlete Nikita Porshnev takes second place in the sprint race at the European Championships, which takes place in Arber, Germany. The Norwegian Erlend Bjontegard became the winner. He covered the distance in 26 minutes 39.4 seconds and did not allow a single miss. Porshnev also never missed, but was 20.6 seconds behind the leader. German Lukas Fratzscher (1 miss; +22.9 seconds) took third place. Russian Petr Pashchenko took fourth place (1 miss; +23.4), Alexander Povarnitsyn — 13th (1 miss; +1.07.3), Ilnaz Mukhamedzyanov — 14th (3 misses; +1.15.6), Vasily Tomshin — 17th (2 misses; +1.19.3), Mikhail Pervushin — 45th (3 misses; +2.38.6).
