MOSCOW, Jan 30 Representative of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Ilunga Makabu defeated South African Tabiso Mchunu in a fight for the World Boxing Council (WBC) world title in the first heavy weight. The 12-round fight took place in Warren (USA, Ohio) and ended with the victory of the 34-year-old Makabu by a decision of the judges. Also at the tournament, American Trevor Bryan was a decision of the judges turned out to be stronger than compatriot Jonathan Gudry in the fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight title.
