MOSCOW, Jan 30 save less than five thousand rubles a month, according to a study by the Synergy University analytical center, which is available to RIA Novosti. The study was conducted in January on a representative sample of five thousand Russians from all regions of the country.
"Only 26 percent of Russian citizens make savings. About 64 percent of them monthly save less than five thousand rubles, 20 percent — from five to ten thousand rubles, and nine percent — from 15 to 20 thousand rubles. Only seven percent of the respondents manage to save more than 20 thousand, — analysts write.
It is noted that most often Russians save money for large purchases, for example, real estate, cars, household appliances; as well as for travel, education, an airbag for retirement and for a rainy day. According to the Bank of Russia, the volume of citizens' funds in banks accelerated growth in 2021 to 5.7 percent from 4.2 percent a year earlier. According to the results of last year, citizens kept 34.7 trillion rubles in credit institutions.
