According to local media, unidentified people demolished more than 20 crosses in the cemetery, as well as fences and monuments. The region's police said on Saturday that a criminal case is being investigated on the fact of vandalism. «Minister of Internal Affairs E. Turgumbaev was instructed to find the vandals who desecrated the Orthodox cemetery in Ushtobe (Almaty region) in order to bring them to criminal liability under the law,» Tokayev wrote in Twitter.
