MOSCOW, Jan 31 The introduction of Fan ID can significantly worsen the attendance of ordinary matches, especially in view of the fact that the high occupancy of stadiums can only be noted at the expected top matches, singer Lev Leshchenko said at a press conference.
"I think that this (introduction of Fan ID — ed.) that, firstly, there is an unfavorable covid situation now, and secondly, manifestations of hooliganism have appeared at sports facilities. However, it seems to me that this has two sides: positive and mostly negative", Leshchenko said.
The singer noted that Fan ID is a somewhat ill-conceived phenomenon due to the fact that stadiums during a pandemic are not too attended, according to Leshchenko, this is noticeable even at football matches. «I think that we gather stadiums when top matches are held, but the fact is that there are a lot of ordinary matches on the periphery and the level of spectator audience for them will drop significantly It seems to me that this problem should have been solved differently. You see that now a lot of fans are protesting about this, «the artist added, expressing the hope that an alternative solution would be found. At the end of last year, the State Duma at a plenary meeting adopted in the third reading a law involving the introduction of electronic passports for sports fans (Fan ID).
