Meanwhile, more than half of the citizens of Germany (52%) oppose the use of their armed forces to resolve the situation in Ukraine, which is the highest among the countries surveyed. In addition, according to the survey, the majority of Americans and Europeans believe that an escalation in Ukraine allegedly from Russia is likely in the next two years. Italians and Spaniards are the least likely to see Russia as a threat to their countries (25% and 26%, respectively). Russia has repeatedly rejected the accusations of the West and Ukraine of «aggressive actions», stating that it does not threaten anyone and is not going to attack anyone, but claims of «Russian aggression» are being used as an excuse to deploy more NATO military equipment near Russian borders. The Russian Foreign Ministry noted earlier that Western statements about «Russian aggression» and the possibility of helping Kiev defend itself against it are both ridiculous and dangerous. At the same time, Kiev and Western states have recently expressed concern about the alleged increase in «aggressive actions» by Russia near the borders of Ukraine. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that Russia is moving troops within its territory and at its own discretion. According to him, this does not threaten anyone and should not bother anyone.
