The court transferred FBK operator Pavel Zelensky, who was convicted because of two tweets, to a colony-settlement

In Moscow, the Second Court of Cassation of General Jurisdiction transferred former FBK operator Pavel Zelensky from a general regime colony to a gray colony. This was announced by the head of the Agora human rights group Pavel Chikov, citing lawyer Svetlana Baiturina.

Zelensky was sentenced to one year and 11 months in a penal colony due to two tweets about the self-immolation of Nizhny Novgorod journalist Irina Slavina, including number in the phrase «Let's ****** [beat] this misrule.»

“I hate you, Putin, Sands, Volodin, and other scum, you are behind this. You can consider my words as an appeal, but you bitch bastards are unworthy of life,» said in the second tweet.

The FBK operator was found guilty of incitement to extremism (Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code). After a search in January 2021, Zelensky was sent to a pre-trial detention center. A month later, he pleaded guilty and was placed under house arrest. The case was considered in a special order without examining the evidence. In January 2022, Rosfinmonitoring added Zelensky, Navalny and his associates to the register of terrorists and extremists.

In the summer of 2021, the Moscow City Court, at the suit of the prosecutor's office, recognized FBKand pre-election Headquarters policy of extremist organizations, banning their activities in Russia.
