Beijing, Feb 1, Anatoly Samokhvalov. 2014 Olympic shorts champion Semyon Yelistratov told reporters that he did not go out for three weeks at the pre-Olympic training camp in Kazakhstan during the protests in the country. A state of emergency was declared in the country.
"We were in Nur-Sultan, and we were immediately closed at the skating rink. All conditions were quickly created for us, we lived and trained there. That is, from January 7 to 27, I never went out into the street. At first there were problems in Kazakhstan, and then they simply decided to close us for quarantine. One overlapped the other. There was absolute silence in Nur-Sultan, although in the first two days the Internet was completely turned off for us, and in the following days it was turned on only from 9 to 11 in the morning. It was like this for a week and a half", — Yelistratov told reporters.
Elistratov joined the Russian team for the Games in Beijing, which will be held from 4 to 20 February.
