In an interview with the media, Walesa said that the West needs to be tough in its position on Ukraine. In the event of an escalation of the conflict, Poland should help its neighbor and immediately strike at Moscow, he believes. «Any citizen, any organization that calls for war with Russia commits a crime and is subject to criminal prosecution,» the parliamentarian said. The politician noted that in the commission of the Federation Council «we are considering various options» for a possible response to such cases. Klimov noted that here the Polish politician «publicly proposes to the whole world to start a thermonuclear war, and the Poles themselves will be the victims of this war.» The parliamentarian recalled that in Soviet times there were laws providing for criminal liability for inciting war. «I understand that history is developing in a spiral, and response measures should now be different,» he said. At the same time, Klimov is sure that the reaction to such statements should not be limited to comments.
