In the coming week, a slight depreciation of the dollar against the hryvnia. The dollar on the interbank market can trade in a week for about UAH 27.9, and the cash dollar in banks can trade for about UAH 27.8/28.0, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
As the analyst noted, last week the dollar against the hryvnia fell in all segments of the foreign exchange market by 0.4-1.4%.
Thus, from Friday to Friday, the official US dollar rate set by the NBU fell from UAH 28.27 to 27.88 (-1.4%). Demand/supply of the dollar on the interbank market, according to the company «UkrDealing», during the same time decreased from UAH 28.12/28.14 to UAH 28.00/28.02 (-0.4%).< /p>
Average buying/selling rates of cash dollars in banks decreased over the week from UAH 28.01/28.25 to UAH 27.90/28.13 (-0.4%). At the same time, the spread between the average sale and average purchase remained at the level of 0.8%.
As the analyst reminded, the IMF mission in Ukraine on the second revision of the stand-by program may take place in the first quarter of this year, as well as planned, said Jerry Rice, head of communications at the IMF. The mission will take place «on the condition that sufficient progress is made to achieve the goals of the program», he specified. The exact date of the mission will be announced later. Rice added that the IMF is monitoring the developments in Ukraine and hopes for a reduction in tension.
