Beijing, Feb 14 Biathlete of the Russian national team Irina Kazakevich will compete in the mass start at the Beijing Olympics. This became known after the Norwegian biathlete Ingrid Tandrevold was banned from further participation in the Olympics due to health problems. Kazakevich was the first substitute for the mass start, thanks to which she will be able to take part in the race, which will take place on February 19. Kazakevich took 20th place in the sprint and finished 23rd in the pursuit. Thus, three Russians were selected for the mass start. Kristina Reztsova and Ulyana Nigmatullina will also compete in the race. The Beijing Olympic Games will last until February 20.
