MOSCOW, Feb 14 The US Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) is disappointed with the decision Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on the admission of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva to the individual tournament of the Olympic Games in Beijing, according to a statement by Executive Director Sarah Hirschland on the official Twitter account of the organization.
"We are disappointed with the signal that this decision sends. It is the collective responsibility of the entire Olympic community to protect the integrity of the sport and to ensure that our athletes, coaches and all participants meet the highest standards. Athletes have the right to know that they are competing on equal terms. Unfortunately, this right is being denied today,” Hirschland said in a statement posted on the official USOPC Twitter.
