Beijing, Feb 15 The Russian men's curling team lost to Norway in a match preliminary round at the Olympic Games in Beijing. The meeting ended with a score of 12:5 in favor of the Norwegians. The Russians prematurely stopped the match after the ninth end. Sergey Glukhov (skip), Dmitry Mironov, Anton Kalalb, Evgeny Klimov and Daniil Goryachev (substitute) are part of the Russian national team at the Games. Russian curlers suffered their fourth defeat in seven matches. They share fifth place with teams from Norway and Switzerland. In the next game on Tuesday, the Russian team will meet with the Canadians. In total, 10 teams participate in the tournament, which conduct a preliminary round in a one-round format. The top four teams will advance to the playoffs, which will start from the semi-final stage.
