The City Court of Nalchik arrested Ramazan Dugiyev in the case of the use of violence against a representative of the authorities (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code) during protests in Magas on March 27, 2019. This was reported to Novaya Gazeta by the Memorial Human Rights Center*.

The court chose a measure of restraint for Dugiev until March 24.
As Fortanga reported, Dugiev was detained on February 14. Lawyer Visit Tsoroev said that this happened after the man came to the investigator for questioning. After his arrest, he was sent to the temporary detention facility in Nalchik; according to his lawyer, no complaints were received from Dugiev about the conditions of detention.
Shortly before that, on February 10, the house where Dugiev lives with his parents was searched. The source of Fortanga then said that Gazelles with security forces and several cars drove up to the house at about 5:30 in the morning. “All employees were armed and in full ammunition. They went to his house, looked, searched, found no one and left. But they said they would come back. The parents did not complain, they said that [the security forces] behaved adequately. They did not show the decision to initiate a case, but they said that it was connected with suspicions of rallies, ”the source said.
