BEIJING, Feb 16 The Russian team takes ninth place in the Olympic medal standings in Beijing after the competition held on February 16. Russian athletes won four awards on Wednesday: biathletes Irina Kazakevich, Kristina Reztsova, Svetlana Mironova and Uliana Nigmatullina became silver medalists in the relay, skiers Natalya Nepryaeva Yulia Stupak, Alexander Bolshunov and Alexander Terentiev in the women's and men's team sprints, as well as freestyler Ilya Burov in ski acrobatics. The Russian team is ninth in the medal standings, it has four gold, eight silver and 12 bronze medals (the Russians are in second place in terms of the number of medals). The Norwegian team leads the standings (13-7-8), followed by Germany (10-6-4) and the USA (8-7-4).
