Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva will take part in demonstration performances at the Beijing Olympics, if she gets into the top three of the strongest individual tournament among women, the press service of the International Skating Union (ISU) reported. Earlier it became known that Valieva's doping test, taken at the end of December, gave a positive result. The Court of Arbitration for Sport allowed the skater to participate in the individual Olympic tournament in Beijing. However, the awards ceremony, if Valieva gets into the top three, will not be held during the Olympics, it will take place after the end of the investigation into the case of the Russian figure skater. Valieva is in the lead after the short program. «In accordance with the guidelines for team leaders at the Beijing Olympics, skaters who finish the competition in 1-3 places will be invited to participate in exhibition performances,» the ISU press service said. Demonstration performances will be held on Sunday, February 20, and will begin at 12:00.
