The foreign exchange market has been stopped, except for the sale of foreign currency to customers.
National The Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on February 25, 2022 set the official exchange rate at 29.25 hryvnia per dollar. The rate has not changed since the NBU fixed the rate due to martial law, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
Earlier on February 24, the National Bank adopted a resolution in connection with the declaration of martial law throughout territory of Ukraine. The work of the foreign exchange market has been stopped, except for the sale of foreign currency to clients.
The NBU also decided to fix the official exchange rate, which was in effect on 24 February 2022.
In addition, the NBU introduced a moratorium on cross-border currency payments (except for enterprises and institutions that ensure the implementation of mobilization plans (tasks) and the government, certain NBU permits).
