The Champions League final is scheduled to take place in St. Petersburg on May 28. According to ESPN, the postponement of the match is inevitable. Also, UEFA is likely to discuss the participation of Russian clubs in European competitions. Earlier it was reported that the head of the organization, Aleksander Ceferin, decided to hold an extraordinary meeting of the executive committee on Friday due to the situation between Russia and Ukraine. On Wednesday, ESPN reported that UEFA will cooperate with the European Union and adhere to any sanctions against Russia if tensions escalate after the recognition of the independence of the LPR and DPR by the country.
