MOSCOW, Feb 25 The European Football Association Union (UEFA) consults on legal issues related to the termination of the sponsorship deal with Gazprom, The Guardian reports. On the eve of UEFA, due to the situation in Ukraine, it decided to move the Champions League final from St. Petersburg to Paris. In May last year, Gazprom extended the contract with UEFA until 2024 year, under the terms of which the company became a sponsor of two European championships, and also continues to cooperate with the Champions League. According to the publication, the Gazprom sponsorship deal for 2018-2021 brought UEFA about 40 million euros a year. This deal has been expanded to include sponsorship of international competitions.
