Honorary President of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Vyacheslav Koloskov in in a conversation with, condemned the President of the International Football Federation (FIFA) Gianni Infantino for sanctions against the Russian national football team, noting that his predecessor Joseph Blatter, unlike Infantino, has an inner core. On Sunday, FIFA announced that due to the situation on Ukraine on the territory of the Russian Federation will not host football matches of national teams, and the Russian team will play home matches on a neutral field without spectators. The federation also banned the use of the flag and anthem of Russia in international matches involving teams of the Russian Football Union (RFU). FIFA has taken note of the positions of the football federations of Poland, the Czech Republic and Sweden, which refused to play with the Russian national team in the selection for the 2022 World Cup and is in dialogue with them. According to FIFA, the organization will continue dialogue with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to determine additional sanctions, including the possible suspension of the Russian team from the competition.
