2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship moved from Russia

MOSCOW, March 1. The International Volleyball Federation on its website announced that the men's world championship — 2022 will be transferred from Russia due to the situation in Ukraine. It is noted that the new venue will be announced later. The World Championship in Russia was to be held on August 26 — September 11 in 10 cities — Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Kaliningrad, Kazan, Yaroslavl. The Russian team received the right to host the World Championship in 2018 at the congress international federation in Mexico. The USSR twice hosted the men's world championship, the world championship has never been held in Russia.
