The problems began after 04.00 Moscow time. According to Downdetector, in the US, the majority of users (89%) complain about the application, 9% — about problems with the website, 2% — about a problem with authorization. In addition to Americans, residents of Germany, France, Great Britain and a number of other countries faced problems. The Facebook social network was founded in February 2004 by 19-year-old American student Mark Zuckerberg. The headquarters is located in Menlo Park (California). Facebook also owns Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram services.
