After the scandal surrounding the national selection at Eurovision 2022 and Alina Pash, the organizing committee of the contest decided to invite the Kalush Orchestra group to go to the international song competition, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to TSN.
< p> It just became known that after the meeting of the organizing committee of the national selection and representatives of the Kalush Orchestra, the group agreed to go to the competition from Ukraine. Now we can officially say that this year at the international song contest «Eurovision-2022» Ukraine will be represented by the Kalush Orchestra with the song Stefania.
The other day while talking with Sergey Prytula, Kalush Orchestra frontman Oleg Psyuk explained the decision to represent Ukraine at the competition:
«My good performance does not depend on «Suspilny» and I am very glad that in Italy organizes «Eurovision» not «Suspilne», so I will represent Ukraine, not «Suspilne», — said Psyuk.
Note that in the finals of the national selection Kalush Orchestra took second place. The team received 14 points — of which the maximum 8 from the audience and 6 from the judges.
