For many brands, even if the sanctions do not directly interfere with their work, it is at least unacceptable to work for the economy of the aggressor at the very least. Not to mention that the solvency of the Russian market will fall due to the devaluation of the local currency, the expected increase in unemployment, as well as the blocking of export and import supplies.
According to the Center for Countering Disinformation, there are already more than 70 companies and brands announced a complete cessation of operations in the Russian Federation or the suspension of services to customers in this country.
The first to announce the exit from the Russian market were airlines, refusing to fly to the airports of the aggressor country. Further, aircraft manufacturers also said that they were ending cooperation with the Russian Federation, in particular Boeing and Airbus. Embraer, like the two previous manufacturers, will also suspend deliveries of spare parts for its aircraft to Russia and will not serve the fleet of Russian companies.
Announced exit from the Russian market or intention to do so, in particular the following brands: Apple, Coca-Cola, Danone, Dell, DHL, Ericsson, HP, Lenovo, Maersk, Nike, OnlyFans, AMD, Adobe, Oracle, H&M, Dropbox, FedEx , Intel, Nestle and Adidas, which refused to work with the Russian national football team.
Canon stores will not work in Russia. And IKEA decided to suspend its activities in Belarus as well.
The most famous and expensive auto and motorcycle brands also refuse to work with the Russian Federation: Audi, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Suzuki, BMW, Ford, Harley Davidson, General Motors, Jaguar, Porsche, Renault, Mercedes, Volkswagen, as well as Škoda, Scania, Toyota (production and supply) and Lexus . The truck manufacturer MAN will also not export its products to the Russian Federation.
Online services for the Russian Federation have been blocked or restricted: Apple Pay, Amazon, Cex Io, Etsy, LinkedIn, Facebook (blocking media accounts in Russia), Google Pay, Google Maps, Instagram (blocking propaganda), Paysera, Samsung pay, Snapchat and Spotify.
Among energy companies the termination of business and investment was announced by: Shell, announcing the termination of the contract with «Gazprom», as well as Exxon Mobil, recalling their specialists from Russian oil companies.
In Russia ceasing broadcasting or no longer available: BBC, Cinema 4D, Netflix, Sony, Pornhub, Paramount, Megogo. The largest players in the film distribution market, in particular Disney and Universal, also left the Russian market due to Russia's military aggression against Ukraine.
And payment systems will not work there either: Mastercard and VISA (blocked by some banks from the Russian Federation), American Express, PayPal.
Competitions, festivals, tournaments. Participation in the Russian Federation or in the Russian Federation canceled: Cannes Festival, Eurovision , Formula 1, FIFA, International Olympic Committee, Mobile World Congress, NHL.
