Zaporozhye NPP MOSCOW, Mar 4 , according to preliminary data, there are no victims or injured, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports. 44 people and 11 pieces of equipment of the State Emergency Service were involved in extinguishing,» the state service said in a Telegram channel. Earlier, a representative of the press service of the nuclear power plant said that a fire had occurred on the territory of the station, there were no changes in the radiation background. The footage from the surveillance camera at the station showed smoke. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine then reported that the fire occurred outside the Zaporozhye NPP, one of the power units was disconnected at the station. Oleg Korikov, Chief State Inspector for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of Ukraine, explained on the air of the Rada TV channel that there are seven nuclear installations, six power units and a nuclear storage facility at the Zaporozhye NPP. According to him, power unit No. 1 was previously stopped for repairs, power units No. 2 and No. 3 were safely shut down, and No. 4 continues to work. Power units No. 5 and No. 6 are standby, nothing threatens them.
