MOSCOW, March 8 Union (RFU) on the decision of the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to remove the national teams of Russia and Russian clubs from participation in international competitions, according to the official website of the court. “Today, the Court of Arbitration for Sport registered the appeals filed by the Russian Football Union (RFU) on the decisions taken on February 28 by the FIFA Council Bureau and the UEFA Executive Committee,” the message says. On February 28, FIFA and UEFA suspended Russian clubs and teams from participating in international competitions due to the situation in Ukraine. The RFU said on March 3 that it would appeal to the CAS against this decision. It was reported that within the framework of a single lawsuit, the RFU would demand the restoration of all men's and women's national teams of Russia in all types of football in the tournaments in which they took part, as well as compensation for damage if its existence is established.
