Kulyak won a bronze medal in exercises on parallel bars in Doha on Saturday. The Russian came to the award ceremony with the letter Z applied to the uniform, which has become an unofficial symbol of support for the special operation in Ukraine. On Sunday, the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) said it would open a disciplinary case against Kulyak. «The case has been referred to an independent foundation for gymnastic ethics,» Titov said. in Ukraine banned Russian and Belarusian athletes, as well as officials, including judges, from participating in competitions under the auspices of the FIG.
