The Russian men's team was supposed to play with the Polish team in Moscow on March 24 in the semi-finals of the play-off tournament for reaching the final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. In the other semi-final, the teams of Sweden and the Czech Republic will meet. The winner of the tournament will qualify for the World Championship, which will be held from November 21 to December 18 in Qatar.
