Ukrainian MP from «Opposition Platform — For life» Viktor Medvedchuk, who escaped from house arrest, is being sought in many cities. There is no official evidence that he could leave the country, Khronika.info reports with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
This was stated in an interview by Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova
«Where could he be? There are several operational versions. Say we think he's somewhere in Moscow and we won't get to him — I can't do that. We work them out», — she noted.
According to her, a certain group has been created that is looking for Medvedchuk and conducting investigative actions. And «searches are taking place in many cities». In addition, the investigation has no evidence that he could have left Ukraine.
«If he crossed the border, it was an illegal crossing. Therefore, we do not have official data on when he crossed the border. They could not have been, because this is an outlaw story», — added the Prosecutor General.
Recall that Medvedchuk, who is suspected of treason and assistance to terrorism, escaped from house arrest almost immediately after the start of a full-scale war between Russia and Ukraine.
