MOSCOW, Mar 23 Former champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in two weight categories Conor McGregor was detained in Dublin for dangerous driving, according to The Irish Independent. According to the publication, the fighter was detained on Tuesday evening. His «Bentley» worth 170 thousand euros was temporarily withdrawn. McGregor himself was taken to the police station and then released on bail. For dangerous driving, the Irishman faces a fine of up to 5,000 euros or imprisonment for six months. The former UFC champion will appear in court in April. In 2017, he was fined 400 euros for speeding. McGregor is 33 years old. On July 10, 2021, he suffered a broken leg in a fight against American Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in Las Vegas and has not fought since. In mixed martial arts, the Irishman won 22 victories with six losses, he previously owned the UFC lightweight and featherweight championship belts.
