Archival photoMOSCOW, March 24An alternative route for transporting goods from Peru to Russia could be through Vladivostok, the country's ambassador to Moscow, Juan del Campo, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"What is happening now is a completely new scenario. Trade continues, it has not stopped, we continue to work with Russia. There are commitments, there are agreements, it's all going on. I can only assume that there will be changes in the itinerary. Goods from Peru are usually delivered via Amsterdam. But what unites Peru and Russia geographically? This is the Pacific Ocean. This is a greater distance and higher prices. But this is a direct route of ships. For Peru, for example, it is very easy to get to Chinese ports or to Russia via Vladivostok", the diplomat said.
