Tremors were felt in 16 prefectures. Last Thursday, a strong earthquake of magnitude 7.3 occurred in the same area. The focus lay at a depth of 60 kilometers. A tsunami threat has been declared. Three people died and about 200 were injured. There were power outages in a number of areas in the north and northeast of Honshu Island.
