Head of the Investigative Committee Oleksandr Bastrykin instructed to check the actions of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine under the article about «fakes» about the Russian army (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code) due to the publication of footage from the city of Bucha with killed local residents. According to the Ministry of Defense, all materials from Bucha «do not correspond to reality and are provocative.» According to a press release from the Investigative Committee, the Ukrainian agency distributed these videos “in order to discredit Russian military personnel.”
“Bastrykin instructed investigators to take comprehensive measures to expose all those involved and give a procedural assessment of their actions on the grounds of a crime provided for in Art. 207.3 of the Criminal Code,” added the press service of the department.
April 2, Bucha returned under the control of the Ukrainian military. After that, photos and videos appeared on the network from the streets of the city, on which dozens of corpses of local residents lie.
