WARSAW, Apr 4 Poland proposes to exclude all Russians from the International Olympic Committee and of all international sports federations, Polish Minister of Sports and Tourism Kamil Bortnichuk told journalists in Luxembourg, where the meeting of the EU Council for Education, Youth, Culture and Sports (EYCS) is taking place. «We are in favor of excluding the Russians until the completion of the peace process and compensation Ukraine from all sports federations headed by the International Olympic Committee, so that only after compensation to Ukraine they can again qualify for participation in world sports, sports competitions,» Bortnichuk said. At the same time, he believes that in this way sports federations will get rid of Russian capital. “In recent years, Russia has pursued an aggressive diplomatic policy, essentially buying seats on the boards of key sports federations, as, following Candida Tom was a wealthy sponsor with Russian capital. Therefore, the exclusion of Russian capital should also come at the same time,» the Polish minister said.
