Archival photoMOSCOW, April 3The West does not understand that anti-Russian sanctions will have a negative impact on the economies of other countries that are aware of their destructiveness and illegitimacy, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Rossiya 1 .
"Truely analytical negotiations took place in Delhi as well. The conversation (Lavrov and Modi) was frank… Not politicized,… but based on the processes that are currently taking place in the world and that are of global importance for all spheres of life. Unfortunately, many destructive processes are now running, they were launched by the West in the economic sphere. These are, of course, sanctions, their rejection by countries that understand their illegitimacy and all their consequences for the whole world", she said.
According to her, these financial restrictions, restrictions on the development of national economies will have consequences for different continents that are not calculated by the West. «(There) is just a misunderstanding of how and where it will come back to haunt and where it will all respond,» Zakharova emphasized. She added that the United States has already felt the «boomerang» from the action of its own sanctions .
