During the debate in the Zavodskoy District Court of Saratov, the prosecutor's office requested suspended sentences for the students of school No. 14 Igor Shustov and Yevgeny Meleshkin in the case of preparing a shooting. This was announced by the head of Agora, Pavel Chikov.
17-year-old Shustov was asked to put 4 years 6 months on probation, and his 16-year-old classmate Meleshkin — 3 years 7 months.
Employees The FSB detained them in February 2020 in an abandoned bomb shelter on the territory of a former aircraft factory; then they were 15 and 14 years old respectively.
The agency claimed that the schoolchildren kept a sawn-off hunting rifle there and wanted to arrange a «massacre» at the school (part 1 of article 30, paragraphs «a», «g», part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code). They were arrested, but two weeks later, during the appeal, the court released both from the pre-trial detention center.

The teenagers said they found a rusty sawn-off shotgun in the bomb shelter a month before the arrest. In a bomb shelter with her 17-year-old friend, who filmed everything on a secret camera, she herself started talking about the attack on Columbine and then took place in the case as a classified witness.
They met when the girl herself added to Shustov as a friend, saying that she saw him in a group dedicated to schoolshooting. Their correspondence and conversations formed the basis of the accusation.
The teenagers also recalled that after their detention, the FSB officers took the girl by the arm out of the bomb shelter and escorted her to the car. They themselves denied guilt and claimed that they discussed schoolshooting in order to speak out, but they would never attack the school.
