Archival photoSIMFEROPOL, April 9 The head of the regional national and cultural autonomy of the Crimean Tatars, Eyvaz Umerov, told RIA Novosti that the assets of the organizers of the blockade of Crimea in Russia should be nationalized. Earlier, the Crimean Parliament came up with a legislative initiative to change the Civil Code Russia and the introduction of compulsory seizure of property of unfriendly countries and foreigners committing unfriendly actions against the state, its citizens and legal entities. The Regional Legislative Assembly unanimously adopted the document and submitted it to the State Duma for consideration.
"The organizers of the water, transport, food and energy blockade of Crimea are former Crimeans who in Ukrainian times had business here and many assets acquired, including by criminals way. We urge to consider the issue of nationalizing their property and organizations associated with them", Umerov said.
According to him, many assets have already been re-registered, but this should not prevent a fair decision.
