File photoSIMFEROPOL, Apr 9The head of the Committee of the Crimean Parliament on People's Diplomacy and Interethnic Relations, Chairman of the German National-Cultural Autonomy of Crimea, Yuriy Gempel, said that the latest statements about Russians by Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk indicate that Nazism had penetrated the Ukrainian diplomatic corps. The Ambassador of Ukraine in Berlin gave an interview with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, in which he admitted that he does not divide Russians into good and bad and considers them enemies.
"Such statements are outrageous. Nazism has penetrated the diplomatic corps of Ukraine, which, in the person of Melnyk, is implementing the most vile policy aimed at inciting hostility and hatred, nullifying the diplomatic universal foundations of the world order", Hempel told RIA Novosti.
According to him, people like Melnik have no place in diplomacy and civilized society. Hempel also said it was «surprising» that the Ukrainian ambassador «is still tolerated in Europe, and even more so in Germany, which learned a harsh lesson after World War II.» Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on February 24. President Vladimir Putin called its goal «the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.» For this, according to him, it is planned to carry out «demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine», to bring to justice all war criminals responsible for «bloody crimes against civilians» in Donbass. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces strike only at military infrastructure and Ukrainian troops and , on March 25, completed the main tasks of the first stage — significantly reduced the combat potential of Ukraine. The main goal in the Russian military department was called the liberation of Donbass.
