MOSCOW, Apr 21The Ministry of Defense showed how the crews of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) «Smerch» during a special military operation in Ukraine destroyed military equipment, weapons and ammunition of the enemy at a camouflaged airfield. The video shows the loading of missiles, obtaining data on the target, reaching positions and firing launcher. As specified in the Ministry of Defense, after the volley, the launchers moved at maximum speed to new positions from which new launches were made.The Ministry of Defense showed footage of the Iskander launching a missile at a facility in Ukraine «According to intelligence, on the territory of the camouflaged airfield, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine concentrated ammunition, military equipment and weapons to supply a group of troops. The data of the intelligence officers were confirmed by technical reconnaissance equipment, after which the division of multiple launch rocket systems attacked warehouses,» the ministry said. The Russian military department stressed that all targets are guaranteed to be destroyed «with jewelry accuracy.» Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on February 24. President Vladimir Putin called its goal «the protection of people who have been subjected to abuse and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.» To this end, according to him, it is planned to carry out «demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine» bloody crimes against civilians» of Donbass. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces strike only at military infrastructure and Ukrainian troops and, on March 25, they completed the main tasks of the first stage — they significantly reduced the combat potential of Ukraine.
