MOSCOW, Apr 22 Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen wins qualification the fourth stage of the Formula 1 championship — the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, which takes place in the Italian Imola at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit. The best lap time of the reigning champion of the «royal races» is 1 minute 27.999 seconds. The second place was taken by the pilot of «Ferrari» Monegasque Charles Leclerc (+0.779), the third — Briton Lando Norris from «McLaren» (+1.132). «Mercedes» for the first time since the Japanese Grand Prix in 2012 could not reach the third qualifying segment. Seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton of Great Britain showed 13th time, and George Russell — 11th. At least one of the German team's cars finished in the top 10 in 187 races in a row. Red flags were displayed five times during qualifying. The first qualifying segment was halted after Thai Williams driver Alexander Albon's brakes caught fire and his right rear tire blew out. At the beginning of the second qualifying segment, Spanish Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz lost control of the corner and crashed into a fence.
