MOSCOW, Apr 23 USA rhythmic gymnastics team leader Evita Griskenas said in an interview with Match TV, which took place in training camps in Russia. The athlete noted that the absence of Russian and Belarusian gymnasts this season is a «hard case».
"In previous seasons, we did not return home during the competitive period, because for two days between starts it is meaningless, they trained in Russia, in Novogorsk or somewhere else. But now, it seems to me, it won’t work out like that anymore, so let’s see how it will be,” said the gymnast.
Griskenas is 21 years old, she is a four-time champion of the Pan American Games and a six-time winner of the Pan American Championship.
