Ukrainian troops at 07:05 and 07:20 (coincides with Moscow time) shelled Gorlovka in the Donetsk People's Republic, firing 122-mm projectiles, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Regime Control and Coordination reported ceasefire (JCCC). «Fire was recorded from the AFU in the direction: 07.05 — the settlement of Dzerzhinsk — the settlement of Gorlovka: three shells of 122 mm caliber were fired,» the message says in the Telegram channel of the representative office. According to another message, at 7.20 a.m. in the direction of Gorlovka (the village of the mine named after Lenin), «five shells with a caliber of 122 millimeters were fired.» Since 2014, the settlement of Gorlovka has been under the control of the Donetsk People's Republic, located 50 kilometers north of Donetsk. On the territory of the city there are coal mining enterprises and the chemical concern Stirol. The most frequently shelled areas of Gorlovka at the moment are the village of Zaitsevo and the villages of mines named after Gagarin and «6/7» located on the outskirts of the city. Before the start of the conflict in Donbass, the population of Gorlovka numbered more than 250,000 people.
