The Department of the Investigative Committee for the Northern District of Moscow filed a case against the chairman of the Kurier trade union, Kirill Ukraintsev, for “Dadin’s”article 212.1 of the Criminal Code on the repeated violation of the rules for holding rallies. At the exit from the house, Ukraintsev told his associates that the case was opened because of the organization of a certain action in Sergiev Posad.
According to the database of the Moscow courts, Ukraintsev was involved six times under the «rally» article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, and three decisions came into force in the fall of 2021. Two of them concerned the actions of couriers, and the third — a post with a call to come to trial against a graduate student of Moscow State University, Azat Miftakhov.
To initiate a case under the «Dadi article», it is necessary that a person have three decisions on article on violation of the rules of rallies (20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and that he committed a similar violation within a year from the date of execution of the sentence.
