MOSCOW, 27 Apr. Two-time Olympic champion Evgeny Rylov, in an interview with MATCH TV, said that the International Swimming Federation (FINA) sent him nine pages explaining the reasons for his suspension from international competitions. The 25-year-old swimmer noted that FINA had not explained, in what he specifically did wrong.
"I was hoping for the best, but it seems no matter what the arguments are … I was not given any facts of what I was guilty of. There were nine pages, all beautifully written. As a result, they told me that I was spoiling the reputation of swimming, that our swimmers are all great, no one climbs anywhere. When I said that there is freedom of speech, they told me that I should limit myself", the athlete said.
