Fontanka: four Petersburgers detained for damaging the inscription «Zamestim» from the logos of brands that left Russia

In the center of St. Petersburg, the inscription «Zamestim» was dismantled from the logos of brands that left Russia. This is reported by Fontanka.

According to the publication, the eight-meter inscription disappeared on April 29. Fontanka claims that the installation was dismantled because it was broken. The police found damage to the letter S.

The publication notes that video surveillance worked on the facade of the house on Malaya Konyushennaya, where the inscription was installed. Mash on the Moika publishes an excerpt from the camera. In the video, you can see how a guy and a girl fight near the inscription, after which the young man kicks the letter S. Then another Petersburger runs up to him and pushes him.

According to Fontanka, the police detained four people — two girls and boys aged 21 to 29. Petty hooliganism protocols were drawn up against them (Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

As Rotunda wrote, the inscription from the first letters of the logos of Zara, Adidas, McDonalds and others was installed by «several people in the night.» The design was not agreed with the St. Petersburg authorities. According to the publication, the author of the inscription is Moscow political strategist Artur Omarov, who led the Nashi movement 10 years ago.
