MOSCOW, May 4. Chelsea director Marina Granovskaya will keep her position in if the London football club is bought by a consortium of American entrepreneur Todd Bowley, the Financial Times reports. The Guardian newspaper previously reported that after the departure of the owner of Chelsea, Russian businessman Roman Abramovich, Granovskaya will leave the team along with the chairman of the board, Bruce Buck. Bowley, who owns stakes in the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball club and the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team, was selected as a priority candidate in late April to buy the club. According to the source, representatives of the Raine Group, which sells Chelsea, told Bowley that Granovskaya and Buck were important employees for the club. In this regard, the consortium decided to keep them in their positions in order to maintain continuity in the organizational structure of Chelsea. Abramovich became the owner of Chelsea in 2003. In 2012, the London club won the Champions League for the first time in its history. In 2021, Chelsea were able to repeat the success and again became the best club in Europe. Granovskaya has been with the London team since 2010 and has been a member of the Chelsea board of directors since 2013.
