MOSCOW, May 6th. Coaches Mikhail Shashilov and Yuri Kaminsky will continue to work with the Russian women's and men's biathlon teams, respectively, according to the website of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU). Both specialists will head the centralized training groups for the Russian biathlon team for the 2022/23 season. In addition to Shashilov and Kaminsky, Sergei Bashkirov and Artem Istomin have been appointed to similar positions. The corresponding decision was made on Friday at a meeting of the board of the Russian Biathlon Union chaired by the organization's president Viktor Maigurov. Kaminsky and Bashkirov will work in the men's team, Shashilov and Istomin in the women's team. The junior team will be headed by Vladimir Bragin, the junior team by Yuri Vekshin. It is noted that earlier these candidates were approved by the executive committee of the coaching council of the RBU. The full composition of the coaching staffs and groups will be presented later.
