Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko called the resignation of a number of governors a normal working process, noting that the planned rotation of the heads of regions will take place in September. She recalled that the law allows regional parliaments to make decisions in their charters on the procedure for elections. «If one of the subjects of the Federation amends the charter, I do not exclude this option.
