German Finance Minister Christian Lindner confirmed that the G7 countries are going to provide Ukraine with more than 18 billion euros (more than $19 billion). Earlier, Reuters, citing the draft document, reported, that the G7 countries will provide Ukraine with $18.4 billion in grants and loans to cover the country's current needs. «It seems that we (the G7 countries) can raise more than $18 billion to support Ukraine,» the minister said in an interview with Bloomberg television. Lindner added that the US is committed to paying $7.5 billion. The financial assistance will also include funds from «EU programmes,» he said. According to the minister, in the next month Ukraine should not have problems related to financing «state needs».
